My name is Alexander Gröbner from Vienna/ Austria. I am a gym rat and 3D artist by heart. I used to be a manual therapist/ trainer/ sports consultant for almost 2 decades before I decided to touch people virtually rather than physically.
What made me to follow this calling? While I have always been motivated to train in the gym, I found it hard to really dive deep into studying human anatomy. Dry books, learning cards and lifeless skeletons on sticks never truly inspired me to take on the tedious task of learn anatomy. But: The older I got the more I discovered how much one benefits from gaining comprehensive knowledge about the human form. Therefore I decided to dedicate my time bringing life into this subject and inspire others with my 3D artwork.
I´ve been working on my model for three years and trust me it`s been quite the journey. Trying to make it more accurate, keeping it render and animation friendly. While I am very satisfied where I am at, there is still a long road ahead. I doubt that I will ever consider this project to be done. The human body is just to complex and the possibilities of 3D graphics are only limited by imagination and software knowledge.
More Info: Right now the Model consists of about 560,000 Vertices (Points in 3D Space). Every single Point can be manipulated in all three dimensions. 4 Points form a Face which then can be given a Material, Color, Texture,.. Multiple Faces then form the actual Muscles, Bones and Tendons,.. The Model is then is then rigged (pretty much like a Marionette doll) which essentially makes it ready for some real Actions!
